Compassion is considered the greatest act that can be practiced by any human. As Dalai Lama had once said, “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” This is the highly apposite statement ever made by any human. Practicing compassion does give a sense of happiness not only to the recipient but also to the doer. It first may seem a ‘selfish’ act to do good deeds for your own ‘happiness’. However, it is still ‘philosophically’ better than to give pain to others or just be ‘compassionate’ for your own public praise.

A similar act of kindness came to the attention when a mother of three energetic and athletic boys, Robin McFadden, was at the Grocery store buying items that are requisite for the athletic body of her sons. She usually manages her limited monthly budget through discount coupons and weekly offers. However, this time, her expenses exceed the money she had with her.

There, she was standing in a crowded line at a Grocery store dealing with the person standing at the counter for not having enough money to pay for the bought items. The lady was apprising the designated person of her situation, and suddenly, she heard a voice saying, “How much is she short?” She and other people around there looked astonishingly at the person who raised the voice in order to help the woman come out of the mortifying situation she was into.

The person was none other than people’s favorite Jeff Foxworthy, an American stand-up Comedian. It came as a surprise for Robin to see a famous celebrity lending his hand to help her come out from dreadful circumstances. Robin was in full praise of a celebrity comedian. She thanked Jeff Foxworthy for becoming her savior.

Had Jeff been not there at that moment, Robin would have been forced to put some items back for failing to pay the full amount. Owing to the act of compassion by Jeff, Robin could purchase essential items required for her sons’ aerobicized bodies.

Jeff Foxworthy, also known as, Jeff Marshall is a well-known comedian, actor, and TV host. Apart from his own sitcom show - The Jeff Foxworthy Show, he has been on several shows like Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White. Currently, he is hosting a famous show, Are you Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?
